Athleisure is hardly considered a trend anymore. Mesh kicks, bombers, and joggers are now staples in our closets, but there’s also a new atheisure trend coming in hot this season. Track pants. Being that I spent half of my childhood wearing them, I have super soft spot for them.
One thing I love most is that the track pants trend has proved to be one of the most versatile around, with the ability to easily be dressed up or down. Styling will be the main factor in differentiating your looks, and boy do you have options. I chose to style my track pants with sock booties, a body suit, a fitted blazer, and a statement bag. I really love the way the pants look with the blazer. It polishes the look off in such a chic, but cool way. Below are a few ways to style your track pants to achieve a variety of different looks !
The most obvious look. Pair your track pants with a pair of sleek sneakers, a band tee, and an oversized jacket. I’m not going to lie, it felt a little weird for me to dress mine down so much. I love the idea of dressing them up, but this is a great option to have.
Day Time Chic Look
To achieve this look, style your track pants with pretty much any shirt, flat boots, and a blazer. Top can be anything from a button down to a turtle neck to a cropped hoodie. Think of a look you’d wear with trousers and swap them our for their more comfortable counterpart, track pants.
Night Out Look
My favorite look. I don’t know who was the first person to pair track pants and heels was, but I love them. Favored by basically ever celeb and top model, this look is so effortless and bad ass. To style, wear with strappy, barely-there heels or a pair of sock booties. Add a bodysuit and a fitted coat or blazer. Top it off with either a bold lip or statement purse and you’re ready to slay.
