Straight leg jeans are all the rage this season, but lets face it – they aren’t easy to style and usually end up collecting dust in your closet. In a world where skinny jeans are Queen (and so damn effortless), we’re often left clueless on how to style other denim. It doesn’t have to be as intimidating as it seems. The Arta Facts – reporting for duty 😉
I fell in love with the trend after seeing the jeans sported all over NYFW. I love that they don’t flare out like a bell-bottom or taper in like a skinny, but thats what can also make them a bit tricky to style. Thats why I’m sharing my secret styling tip with you guys today. All it takes is giving them a nice cuff and you’re golden! I styled two black and white looks with completely different vibes, just to show how many doors the cuff opens – versatility FTW!
The first look is very casual 90’s. I paired my straight leg jeans with my favorite Bratty Enterprises Tee and Vince Pointed Chelsea Boots (similar). The cuff shadows over the boot without looking awkward. Still, in just a simple tee shirt and jeans, it adds an interesting and unique dynamic. Its the little things 🙂
The second look is a bit more buttoned up (see what I did there ;)). I’ve been insanely crushing on Kendall + Kylie’s new line, so my white button down (ON SALE!!) and lace up flats (ALSO ON SALE! YAY) are from them. This look turned out to be one of my favorites. The top is pretty freaking awesome (thanks mom), but I also love how the rugged denim looks against the feminine flats.
You can also try this look with a pair of adidas or pumps!
What do you guys think of this trend?!
