Los Angeles

Went to LA this past weekend and had such a nice time!
We spent Friday night at an airplane-style, mid-century bar in West Hollywood called Now Boarding. The atmosphere was inviting and buzzing. A good looking crowd, strong, tasty cocktails, and an on-point DJ are what you can find at Now Boarding on an average Friday night. I went with a maroon tee and a black vintage mini skirt my grandmother made for my mom in the 70s. Its so special to me and is sewn seamlessly; it amazes me that she hand made it 25 years ago. I was also really excited to wear this tee shirt. I bought it on a whim at Zara and was really trying to find ways to incorporate it into a look. I can’t find it or anything in this color online, but I included the link to a similar style olive green shirt I would love to rock.

Aside from craving a really tasty Saturday brunch the next morning, it was prime outdoor brunch weather. We first went to Juice Served Here for some necessary green juice to bring us back to life. We ate brunch at Goldie’s in West Hollywood. Pictured below is the insanely satisfying fried brussels and eggs and a tall healthy glass of… Bloody Maria.

Beautiful succulent wall on W 3rd street.

Headed to The Grove for some shopping and of course – ice cream. This was my first time seeing this part of LA. I went with my spring/fall go-to – the undeniable dress and booties winning combo.

Can you tell I like sweets? We ended up in a boutique cupcake store called Bon Nuage. These things were SO addicting and look how beautiful the presentation was! These “cupcake clouds” are meringue so they are very light and fluffy. The best part is they are gluten-free, dairy-free, and the two cupcakes pictured below were only 80 calories each! We picked Nutella (left) and Snickerdoodle (right). The chef himself told us his favorite was Passion Fruit, so we will have to try that one next time. Talk about a guilt-free way to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Saturday night, we celebrated a friend’s birthday at the Warwick. This is me with my boyfriend and friend enjoying our night out. Whenever I don’t know what to wear out, I stick with a blouse and jeans. It always does the trick 🙂

Taking full advantage of the weather, we went to another brunch the following morning because..why not! We went to Aroma Bakery Cafe. I’m not going to lie, the food looks better than it tasted. The croissant was average at best, but it was still very pretty. Secret menu item: Pineapple and Strawberry smoothie with coconut milk. I would go back here just to have this again. Its not pictured because I downed it before my food even made it out.

Spent the rest of the day at West Hollywood Park and saw some really neat stuff.

My honey being romantical 😛
